Independent enthusiast community

For the people keeping an LR3 going.

LR3 Parts brings together ownership guides, parts planning, and a growing collection of owner contributions.

Why this site exists

LR3 Parts started around demand for LR3 ownership and parts information. Its aim is to become a useful home for 2005–2009 LR3 and Discovery 3 enthusiasts: a place to plan work, compare experiences, and share the ending of a repair story.

The site is independent and is not affiliated with Land Rover or JLR. Its resources are written for ownership planning; the applicable vehicle handbook and workshop procedure remain the references for operating and repairing your truck.

LR3 Parts editorial

LR3 Parts editorial is the site’s publishing identity. Researched guides use linked technical documents and manufacturer resources where available. Owner discussions are identified as community context. We distinguish an observed symptom, a possible cause, and a confirmed repair outcome.

Current researched guides are not presented as hands-on tests or mechanic-reviewed installation instructions. We do not claim certifications, repair experience, or independent verification that have not been documented.

Sources, dates, and corrections

Guides show their publication and update dates and include further reading. A content update should change the date when it changes the substance of a guide; a routine deployment alone should not. Vehicle details, component versions, and document applicability matter.

If a guide needs a correction, submit a question or correction with the guide URL, the disputed statement, and a supporting source. Submissions are reviewed before any change or publication.

Owner contributions

A useful repair submission records the year and engine, symptoms, diagnostic evidence, parts or work performed, and what happened afterward. A single owner’s result does not establish a universal fix. Display names and vehicle details may be published with consent; email addresses remain private.

The owners club currently accepts editorial submissions. It does not yet offer live discussion or member accounts. Share your repair or build story.

Parts and commercial links

Our direct store is not taking orders. Current supplier links are ordinary external resources, and no affiliate commissions are active. If affiliate links or paid placements are added, they will be disclosed. Fitment, stock, returns, and purchases must be checked with the supplier.

Your garage and newsletter

My Garage stores details on your browser, with exportable backups. The newsletter launch list records interest; newsletter sending is being set up. Read our privacy and removal information and use the free checklist without signing up.
